September 10, 201213 yr Who knew there was ever actually a working B-wing fighter outside of Star Wars? -_- (Either that or the Kilrathi made it!) http://youtu.be/KA5giaFPLQs We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically. September 10, 201213 yr Ha, I have to thank you, as I built one of these as a teenager, an Airfix model I think. But I'd forgotten its name and even asked at some hobby shops with no result! Talk about assymetrical. Simmo W, Melbourne, Ozhttp://www.youtube.com/user/id5556
September 10, 201213 yr Fictional dialogue. I think the big advantage of the asymmetric design is that it looks totally weird. :Nerd: You are correct, I guess we should build one.
September 10, 201213 yr The very real advantage of the design was the excellent visibility, both for the pilot who didn't have a huge engine between him and the runway aiming point, and for the observer - it was designed as a scout plane. Apparently it handled pretty decently as well. Yes I do realise the post above was a joke. John-Alan Pascoe
September 11, 201213 yr Here is another cool Rutan design like the Blohm. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rutan_Boomerang Chris Miller
September 11, 201213 yr Haha, Rutan must be named when it comes to strange designs. It was just a matter of time. I think he's also doing the spacecraft and mothership for Virgin Galactic. Good point on the visibility on the B&V.
