September 28, 201213 yr There's RealityXP Garmin GNS530 for X-Plane9, probably working with X-Plane10 too (?), but apart from that one, and from UFMC, which is an FMC-type solution not fitting very well on a GA :-), are there any worth the try alternatives? Also, are any of you using the new NavDataPro to update X-plane10's navigation/gps database? Tanks for any suggestions / feedback ;-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
September 28, 201213 yr NavDATA Pro supports JRollon CRJ200, X-FMC and EADT KLN 90B. It doesn't update the X_plane Nav Database. I wish it did, along with FSX too, would be amazing. Alexis Mefano
September 28, 201213 yr Sure ! and it's free ! http://eadt.eu/index.php?kln90b very complete simulation of the Bendix King KLN90B You have to edit the existing lua file - if it already exists - to make it work with the aircraft of your choice. I had some issues to make it work with the Carenado Seneca. Don't know yet if it works with the new Baron. Otherwise it's a must have.
September 28, 201213 yr And this: http://ross-park.net/xgps/ you can use the garmin trainer for XPX without reality XP. And a personal fave, you can get SkyCharts Pro on your iphone/ipad and use it directly with XPX, works great! Oh I just found out Plan-G now works with XPX.
September 28, 201213 yr Author Thank you wall. I will certainly check all of those suggestions ;-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
September 28, 201213 yr Jcomm, I just tried the KNL90B with the Baron, and had initially a crash. But I found the solution: when you install, do not copy the xap folder inside your aircraft plugin folder if there is already a SASL folder. Works beautifully. Thanks Pingpong for the tip, I forgot about this one.
September 28, 201213 yr I have the Reality XP Garmin 430 for XP and it works great in XP-10. Im sure the 530 would work fine too. I have it installed in all my Carenado planes in XP and I wont fly without it! Rob

September 28, 201213 yr OK, here are 2 screen shots of it in action with the new Carenado Baron. They way it works is, you install it. Register it with your serial # the first time and then copy one small configuration file to each plane you want to use it with. I put it into all my GA aircraft, Then you select it in the pulldown menu to enable it. You can move it around to any part of the screen you want. and resize it. I keep it in the top right corner, but you can move it anywhere you wish. You can resize it bigger or smaller than I have it here it you wish. It will remember where you put it and when you restart X-plane, it will be right where you left it in the same size you had it set to. There is a way to have it display in the Virtual cockpit itself in place of the default GPS, but this proved to be a big pain to do. even if you figure it out, You can only display it there, but you can not click on any of the buttons. Its very hard to click on the buttons while flying anyways and the 2d popup method is the best way to use it. It works exacly like the real thing, My brother has a 430 in his Archer and this is dead on accurate to the real thing. In the 2nd shot, I have the terrain mode enabled which comes in handy flying around mountainous areas like Alaska. Hope this helps, Rob

September 29, 201213 yr No, you dont need XP9. During the install, its asks you if your using XP9 or 10, Just click one or the other or both if you use both. I only have Xp10, so I only installed the XP10 version. Rob
