October 1, 201213 yr Hey guys! While I was finishing some work on an All Blacks livery for the PMDG Jetstream 41 which I started quite a while ago, I started thinking about another Air New Zealand livery. But this one for the Captain Sim 707-300 ADV, and thus a bit retro. I know the 707 was never part of the ANZ fleet, so I based the livery on the DC-8's they operated. I could've used the old 747, 737 or DC-10 livery as inspiration, but the one on the DC-8 seemed just that little bit sleeker to me. Here's the current Work in Progress result: I'm happy with it so far, but I need some input on what to do with the radome.... - Keep it like it is right now, just plain white - Add black nose like the DC-10's And should I add the black anti-glare in front of the cockpit windows or not? Let me know what you guys thinks!

October 2, 201213 yr Thanks for the comments and feedback guys, glad you like it! I finished it today, decided on a white radome by default, with an optional texture for a black nose included. I also ended up adding the anti-glare paint below the front cockpit windows, I feel it adds some more retro-feeling to the paint, haha. I suppose this is Auckland with ORBX? The scenery completes the shots. Yeah, Auckland with FTX NZ North Island. I find myself being perfectly happy simming on the southern hemisphere only. With part of FTX Australia, both FTX NZ Islands and Aerosoft Antarctica I can do pretty much everything. Local GA flying is great in NZ, regional lines both in Australia and NZ, and long haul ends up as flying supplies to McMurdo on Antarctica . Or for seriously long haul; Auckland - Singapore - Amsterdam or Amsterdam - Hong Kong - Auckland . Happy memories... Black nose, like the DC-10. TEAL livery next? ;-) I included the black nose as a separate texture, just replace the original file with the one in the "Black Nose" folder (and back the white one up if you ever want to go back). If there are any takers for a TEAL livery, why not, hehe. It's not that much different I believe.
