October 1, 201213 yr Hi there, I have a question regarding the colors on some displays in the NGX cockpit.. I see on many on the screenshots online that the colors on the overhead panel altitude selector display, and the pedestal COM and NAV selector displays are "Rockwell Collins style" (blue backround and white numbers). In my ngx they are Honeywell style (orange backround) and I have not got a clue on how to change this. I believe i've searched through every forum without any luck. (feel free to troll my forum searching skills =) So heres my question, do i really need to "tweak" this myself using the cockpit colors program found here on avsim, or is there any other way to change this? *Note: this has nothing to do with my MCP settings. And again, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, first time posting here on avsim=)

October 1, 201213 yr I dont think its possible to change that. You'll have to stick with the Honeywell look (or modify the files yourself) vatsim s3
October 2, 201213 yr Author Hmm, kind of wierd, also checked out several youtube videos on the NGX showing different styles on these displays.. So yeah maybe I have to modify, don't think I'm gonna try it though, may be more pain than gain... Thanks =)
October 2, 201213 yr Gday Sorry if im wrong , but isnt there a colour change thingy in the options menu. ( again sorry this is just off the top of my head, just trying to help) take care Jeff jeff atkinson
October 2, 201213 yr The NGX was originally released with white over blue displays for radio and overhead. They changed it to orange over red in one of the patches to match the plane they model. You can't change it.

It should have been moved to the 737NGX thread! All the above is not true. You can change the autopilot to either Honeywell or collins in the FMC aircraft equipment section.
October 3, 201213 yr OP is not querying about the MCP. He's talking about the displays on the overhead and the center pedestal vatsim s3

October 3, 201213 yr Andy... He is NOT talking about the MCP, but about the other displays (NAV radios, COM radios, Transponder, CRZ lvl display, LAND ALT display,...). In the sim itself, it's not possible to change these colours. And even if you did, the radios wouldn't be correct. Name available upon request
October 3, 201213 yr well the change came in sp1c. if you have a version before sp1c then unistall the servive pack (maybe the NGX, dont no never tried it) and then theyshould go back to what you want them to be Thomas Wills Thomas Wills
