What about a PC Tune Up utility? http://www.tune-up.com/

Or perhaps I might take my PC to a local shop and see if they find anything otherwise I will be chasing my tail as I do not even know where to start with it.

System is fine, lots of room... took my PC to the shop, there are over 12,600 error's and warnings on the events page and I don't know where to start so I've taken it to the pros..

Got my PC back from the shop and all they had to do was to uninstall Internet Explorer 9 and install IE8. Apparently IE8 is the industry standard. Orbx FTX Central, AS2012 and the other addon interfaces are running normal once again. Something became corrupt in the IE9 installation and when these programs tried to "call home" the communication was delayed somewhat.

I am a happy camper once again, thanks to everyone for all your feedback and help.

Interesting solution, glad to know it's working for you again. Sounds like the virus probably corrupted IE. You could likely update to IE9 again, that line about "IE8 being the industry standard", while true, isn't a proper in-depth explanation of the scenario. You can always update and if the issue returns just uninstall IE9.

I have a feeling the techs at the repair shop did more than uninstall IE9 and install IE8. I think close to 98.99% of the members here at AVSIM are using IE9 without issues. I just cannot see how an Internet browser could be the problem. I have a feeling it was Malware or some type of virus. Glad to hear you got it fixed though Robert!
