October 10, 201213 yr I don't think it necessarily makes me a better person. What it does for me is help keep my insanely overactive mind occupied when I have nothing else to do. OH! and it educates me about planes..and I love planes. Anthony O'Brien
October 11, 201213 yr See.. I knew it !! I'll show this thread to my wife Also let her know the Flight Sim guys are a great catch. Some guys hang around in pubs spending money and getting in trouble, wife at home not knowing where they are. With Flight Sim guys the wife knows exactly where we are, we are in our den flying a PMDG 737 from Chicago to New York.... :LMAO: The wife never has to worry about you. Cheers Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
October 11, 201213 yr Imagine anyone starting this sim from scratch....today. It's so involved and detailed and offers so many options. If I were to start again, I would look at it with a little fear about the intense...intense learning curve. The knowledge of flight, the mechanics of the airplane, the overwhelming choices that have to be made, the amount of $$$ needed to invest in it completely. I just might say that I'm not ready to tackle it. But oh, oh how rewarding it is. We should all look back and see how very much we have all learned, how conversational we've become with others, including the real pilots out there. Yes, I've become a better person because of the breadth of accomplishment I've gained. Knowledge is a real plus when considering social interaction in this world. I can't believe all that I've learned...especially from others on this invaluable forum. Stan
