October 20, 201213 yr Hi, I've been wanting to expand my VC over two monitors. I have one 23" monitor and another 21" (the one I want to add). Is there any way of expanding the VC view over both monitors without Matrox? Thanks, Kevin L
October 20, 201213 yr Not sure if you can do this unless you're in wondowed mode. I recall that XP had the option to expand your settings across two montiors (seeing it as one), not sure if it can be done on W7/Vista. Al Stiff
October 20, 201213 yr Looks pretty easy to me. I haven't done it yet but it looks simple, and yes, it works perfectly in W7. Window mode is correct. jime James D. Edwards
October 20, 201213 yr Author Thanks for the video, but I'm looking at using two monitors to display the VC, not pop-ups. Thanks, Kevin L
October 20, 201213 yr Look in the video forum under hardware, there are many posts on this. Doesn't Nvidia Surround do the same thing, full screen multiple screens? Or maybe it's only in windowed...
October 20, 201213 yr Commercial Member Both Nvidia Surround and AMD Eyefinty let you stretch your full screen view over multiple screens, but at least in the case of Eyefinty, it requires (or forces) the same resolution on all monitors, which can look funny if the monitors are different phyisical sizes. I have a 24" 1920x1200 for a center monitor, but my side monitors are 24" 1920x1080 - when I run Eyefinity, it forces my center monitor to 1920x1080. It's a very slight, but noticeable difference. I can't imagine a 23" and a 21" running like this and looking good. Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
