October 21, 201213 yr Hi, So I bought this scenery longgg time ago and i'm trying to import it to FSX but its looks funny when I do. How can I just import the Building as hsow below and insert it into FSX. I have ADE but can't seem to import the BGLs. Please help. Thanks!
October 21, 201213 yr The first photo indicates a layering problem in your Scenery Library. Look at where your AddonScenery folder is located in the Scenery Library. It should not be at the top and should be above any program, like MyTrafficX (that has it's own AFCAD's). If you have another scenery program on top of the Addon Scenery folder, it will change the elevations. If you are looking at Scenery design, this is the wrong forum. October 21, 201213 yr The Addon Scenery Folder is already added, by default, to your Scenery Library. If it was somehow removed, just startup FSX and so to the Scenery Library and add it. If you are having problems doing that, go to the Windows 7 forum here at AVSIM and look at a pinned topic at the top regarding how to add scenery to the Scenery Library. There's a bug with Windows 7. A lot of people set up a separate directory with the description of the scenery, like St_Louis. Under St_Louis, you add a Scenery folder and put all the relating .bgl's there. Then you go to the scenery library and add it. Best regards, Jim Jim Young | AVSIM Online! - Simming's Premier Resource! October 21, 201213 yr Export the building where? So I can use it with ADE and place it in FSX in the scenery i'm building. Thanks!
October 21, 201213 yr You need to import the information about the library objects into ADE via the Library Object Manager. You might want to look at this: https://scruffyduck.clarify-it.com/d/xwmycf Jon ------- Microsoft Flight Sim MVP Airport Design Editor FSDeveloper.com

George Right but those are the only file for the scenery...and when I add them the building appear....Note that this scenery was for FS2004
October 22, 201213 yr So I can use it with ADE and place it in FSX in the scenery i'm building. Thanks! First off, do you have permission from the original author to use his building model for your scenery, that is if you intend to post it anywhere? If yes or if for personal use only, you could try using modelconverterX and load the various libraries in the scenery to see if the house is in there. If so, you can export as a new object (MDL, BGL, OBJ, 3DS, etc) Best, Michael KDFW
