October 21, 201213 yr I had the pleasure of visiting this national park while installing a system at a client in the park in '99. It's an overlooked national park and somewhat isolated--the nearest stoplight is 72 miles away. It's also fairly high in elevation--the Saratoga had to struggle a bit to gain altitude. As usual, the scenery was generated by Tileproxy. And surprise, I am flying something other than the Carenado King Air! In case you want to fly to the park and have Tileproxy, takeoff from runway 13 at Wayne Wonderland airport in Loa and just follow that general heading. Anyway, hope you enjoy the screenshots! John
October 21, 201213 yr Terrific shots! The wing view in #3 sure looks real. And the background info about the place is greatly appreciated. John
October 21, 201213 yr Capitol Reef is absolutely an unknown gem. The fruit orchards there are amazing - oasis in the desert stuff and a lot of fun when the fruit ripens and you can do the pick and eat thing. See: http://www.nps.gov/care/historyculture/orchardscms.htm . Highly recommended. And again, nice shots John Scott

October 22, 201213 yr Nice. Just getting into using Tileproxy myself at the moment - very impressed but it take a long time to load at the resolutions I want. Small price to pay though.
October 23, 201213 yr Never heard of that park until now John, looks like a beautiful place. The Saratoga looks good out there, but not as good as the King air would have. Amazing shots indeed!!
