October 22, 201213 yr Hello everyone again. Hope you are all doing good. So, as the title says...i only get some lag during any turns i make in Fsx (PMDG, Airbus X). For example, when i taxi in a straight line everything is smooth and ok but as soon as i have to enter the runway and line up it starts to lag a bit then again when i am lining up during the end of the turn it goes back to smooth mode . Same thing happens when i am above high density cities. When i am flying straight i have no problem at all, everything is smooth but as soon as i turn it starts to lag a bit. My question is, is there something that it can be done to prevent this lag, any tweaks or i just have to live with it? I still have not used any tweaks (Bojote's etc) Thanks for your time! October 22, 201213 yr Hi. Do Costas tweaks, I say it´s a must.(Pinned topic here). I have done that, WOW! Almost max settings, all very nice explained in his tweaks........ Try it Goran Arvnell

October 23, 201213 yr I still have not used any tweaks (Bojote's etc)is there something that it can be done to prevent this lag, any tweaks or i just have to live with it? You, my friend, have just answered your own question :Applause: Kind of a redundant question to say "I havent used any tweaks yet, even though I know about them, and does anybody know any tweaks you can use" I spent a few hours pouring over Kostas tweaks 1 evening :Hypnotized: , and after only needing to make 5 tweaks to my FSX.cfg, it made a huge difference, but more importantly too, I then had a MUCH better understanding of what the heck is going on within FSX :Big Grin: Richard... October 23, 201213 yr And if you can't find the link, since it has been removed here in the FSX forum, here you go Post here or on the blog if you have any questions, be glad to answer them. You can also follow it for future updates. Good luck!

October 26, 201213 yr Author Thanks everyone for the answers! I will try the bufferpools tweak and see what happens. As the installation had already been made i cannot follow the guide that Word Not Allowed made because i do not have a clean installation FSX. However, i can use some of the tweaks he mentions. But first i will try with the bufferpools one. I will let you know how it goes. Out of interest mate, what temp's are you reaching when running FSX? CPU/GPU/Motherboard.... While running FSX i get around 67C on the CPU after about 1-2 hours of flying.
October 26, 201213 yr because i do not have a clean installation FSX It is NOT required that you have clean FSX. It is only required that you delete your fsx.cfg and start with a new one - or better said - it is recommended you do that.
October 30, 201213 yr Author It is NOT required that you have clean FSX. It is only required that you delete your fsx.cfg and start with a new one - or better said - it is recommended you do that. So, i did as you said! I also followed your guide... Under the [bufferpools] section there is only Usepools=0. Water is set to High x2. Affinity Mask=14. Highmefix=1. Texture_Bandwidth_Mult=40. Texture_Max_Load=4096. Internal Frame Limiter is set to 35 (used 30 but for me it feels better 35). I used every tweak except from the Vsync. I cannot find the entry in my fsx.cfg. Searched and nothing. Finally, i did a test flight as my usual. Aerosoft Heraklion X Airbus X v1.22 Rex Essential Active Sky Evolution with building thundestorms UTX-GEX I must admit that it feels a lot better than before. Talking about smoothness here. The thing is still, as soon as i turn the aircraft for any reason on the ground (enter taxiway or exit parking etc) it giggles a little bit. Just losing the smoothness for about 3-4 seconds. Frame rates are solid above 35 all the time. Is there any way to get rid of the giggle during the turns or i just have to live with it?
October 30, 201213 yr Check your monitor refresh frequency. If it is 60hz, then you must be running 30FPS in the sim AND vsync tweak enabled (check the guide on how to) - this is THE key what gets rid of the microstutters, especially in turns. The taxiway and parking turns are in complicated aircraft like Airbus or NGX quite demanding, and even the best of computers will hiccup here. The best is to see that you do what I wrote above and that is basically as good as it can get.
October 31, 201213 yr Is there any way to get rid of the giggle during the turns or i just have to live with it? I apologise in advance but, the best way to get rid of the "Giggles" during turns might be to stop using that beaded seat cover! :LMAO: Richard... Amateur Pilot and UK Web Hosting Guru 🙂

Everything silk as milk in heavy weather at Aerosoft Athens, Airbus X, UTX+GEX! Everything smoothhhhhh finally even during turns! I really appreciate your help Word Not Allowed! Really really appreciate! God bless you!
November 3, 201213 yr Really really appreciate! I know you do. Hopefully you are aware that this tweak has been in the guide the whole time... just need to read, buddy
