B200 Dual Rxp GNS 530 & Rxp Wx500 retrofit

Featured Replies

If you do not have the RXP Unlimited pack installed ($100 purchase), you cannot have two RXP 530s

in the same aircraft.

In that case, you are better off keeping the Carenado 530 as the second GPS.

Got it, thanks Bert.

One Q : while in GPS NAV with the RXP GNS530 the HSI sequences properly the next track for next waypoint (track number at bottom right corner) but the actual HSI (green) needle does not rotate automatically to this track. Is this how the real one operates ? You have to rotate it manually ?

I thought that GPSS (GPSsteering) aircraft with digital displays rotated the HSI needle automatically after each waypoint.

Set Autocourse = on in the rxpgns.ini file for the aircraft..

Also add LinkGPS = on to get the waypoint information.

Bert

Bert even though I run the setup for RXP GNS530 (RXP530.exe) and it is then properly displayed in the Kingair but such file is not created in the folder of the aircraft.

Should it be in the PANEL subfolder or the aircraft's root folder and shall I add it manually ?

I copied another one from other aircraft I use it with the following settings and will give it a try later tomorrow.

Now that I see the various settings, are you sure the setting is not about AutoCdiMode but Autocourse ?

[GNS530]

You can put the ini file in the panel folder, or the aircraft folder..

The panel folder will take precedence, however.

If you do not have the RXP Unlimited pack, Crossfill=on will cause problems..

Here is mine for the B200 for a single RXP530:

[GNS530]
Popup=10000
AutoPilotMode=2
Radios=1
LinkCdiKey=On
AutoApproach=Off
AutoCourse=On
LinkVor=0
LcdStyle=off
AutoWidth=500
AutoHeight=360
Trainer=
NoKeyClick=Off
DisableRxTx=Off
AutoPowerOn=On
GndSpdFromDeltaLatLon=Off
LinkGPS=On

and the corresponding popup window (adjust the window number..)

//--------------------------------------------------------
[Window01]
window_size=0.30, 0.38
position=5
visible=0
ident=10000
zorder=7

gauge00=rxpGNS!GNS530,  0,0,100,100

OK thanks, I managed to sort it out. It was the Popup ID that had to be linked and the rest of the Auto's.

The file sits in the aircraft folder and not the PANEL subfolder.

  • 8 months later...

I apologize in re-initiating this 9-month old post. However, after repeated attempts, I've been unable to get this working, that being  - twin RXP 530's and RXP WX 500. This is a FSX Win 7-64 set-up with RXP Unlimited.

These are the steps taken:

1.) Re-installed Carenado B200;

2.) Installed Carenado B200 SP1;

3.) Installed Carenado's RXP530.exe modification; (RXP530 #1 - normal; CAR GPD530 #2 - normal; Avidyne - normal.)

4.) Replaced panel.cfg with modified panel.cfg in this thread;

5.) Added modified RXPGNS.ini from this thread to B200 panel folder;

6.) Added RXPWX500.ini to B200 aircraft folder.

After item 4 forward, RXP530 works without issue. Unfortunately, nothing else works including RXP530_2 and WX500. Moreover, Reality's "XP" does not appear on #2. I believe your picture does show this. The Avidyne frame remains and does not even turn on.

I'm at a loss with this and appreciate any help.

I think I've solved my problems. It looks like I must use the pop-ups to turn things on, then all is good.
