February 27, 201313 yr C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/Lockheed Martin/Prepar3D/ This is a hidden folder so you need to click the checkbox in the Win 8 explorer to show hidden files. BTW, this information can be found on the P3D website in their FAQ.
March 23, 201313 yr Fulcrum,I'm not having any issues with P3D and W8. 100%75%50%d8a34be0e82d98b5a45ff4336cd0dddc Patrick
March 25, 201313 yr P3D is stable for me under Win 8 x64. The only problem with it is losing your joystick/yoke after about 20 minutes of flight or so. This can be fixed by using FSUIPC. The lost joystick issue is not specific to P3D. It is a Microsoft bug that they refuse to acknowledge.
April 5, 201313 yr i found the only way i could get prepa3d to run on windows 8 was to have it already installed on win 7 first then upgrade the operating system to win 8. a clean install on win 8 O/S refused to function for me!
April 5, 201313 yr I simply abandoned Win8 until P3D get's an installer for it. I also had problems running FSX there. Win7 64 bit is still one of the best MS OS's IMHO...
