Hi Word Not Allowed

You would obviously need to display the weather with the recently updated METAR together with the recently updated sat data (zoomed in) to be able to do an accurate comparison, difficult to tell the exact cloud coverage on the zoomed out image, but our weather is as accurate as the last METAR update.

We don't currently change the weather according to the sim time but we are working on that in order to provide historic data.

Regards

Cheryl

Am I expecting too much? I departed London Gatwick out west, the view is to the north.

It is hard to say, isn't it? Especially when one is reliant on what one cannot see in real life. We are just left with assumptions. I have been an Active Sky 2012 user, but have looked into Opus.

Here is a picture taken real life last night at aprox 7pm looking north west. It shows a front arriving. I live just north of the airport.

Here is a screen grab from FSX using Opus weather about 15 minutes later from my local airport looking north west. It clearly shows the front coming in.

Looks pretty damn close to what is going on in my opinion. I also took a pic using Active Sky 2012 and will post a comparison later in the FSX forum to let people decide for themselves which is closer to real life.
