October 27, 201213 yr Yesterday I restarted Aerocache Hunting :-) I didn't have a backup of my career from the previous install of MS FLIGHT a few months ago... I summed up 117 aerocaches with the one I picked yesterday, but when I started MS FLIGHT today I found only 115 as the number of aerocaches hunted :-( Yesterdays Aerocache was already in my list (it was marked) but there was another one not marked that I hunted. Today's AOTD was not marked, but I somehow recall having already hunted it (?). Anyway, I went for it and the total is now 116, but yesterday I had 117 :-( Also restarded the various activities I had already done - I had all of Hawaii and Alaska activities completed, but since I didn't have a backup of the Career folder, I have to go for it again - no big deal as a matter of fact because I am about to finally get back a good pair of rudder pedals next week, so, some of it will be even easier and closer to real to get ;-) I was really missing MS FLIGHT, and I still can't identify precisely what exactly attracts me so much in this sim... Guys... should I buy the C47? Is it any good... I know it's a pitless one, and so the FDs are massaged to be easier to fly without any reference to instruments, but... how does it feel? October 27, 201213 yr Jcomm - You'll find that your aerocache count will keep changing. I've found every cache available so far and my count keeps bouncing between 167 and 169. It changes if the AOTD is one I already have and then will go back to 168 or 169. Weird but I guess that's the way the database is set up. Thank you. October 27, 201213 yr Guys... should I buy the C47? Is it any good... Yes buy it! As you see, I use it a lot for clandestine missions. For a 50,000 lb aircraft it has a really good climb rate and can get into some pretty tite places. Ground handeling is terrible so watch where you park. I do like it a lot.

October 28, 201213 yr Ground handling is worse than terrible. In multiplayer it can get crowded on the ground really really quickly if the group takes it into its mind to use them at a smaller airfield. I still like it anyway. Guess I have a thing for whales. October 28, 201213 yr Author Yep, just tested it... Gd hadlg and takeoff with a 30 knot wind from 2:30 o'clock... Full right airleron and left rudder... Whow! October 28, 201213 yr I like that it will stay on point during a long flight once you get it trimed out. You can go off and do something else and it will be right where you left it just droning away, eating up the miles. Depending on the winds of course. But it is a very stable aircraft.
