I am a beginner software developer... And basically I'm trying to make a sound pack for fsx... Now then... To have the working sounds, this would mean that the sounds were constantly playing in FSX while you were flying INSIDE the aircraft. So I basically want a constant sound inside the aircraft. Now I understand this would mean putting it into the sound folder in the flight simulator aircraft, but I am wondering how I would configure Flight Simulator to play these sounds while the aircraft is Flying and the battery is turned on. I understand that it has something to do with the .Cfg Sound file but I'm unsure what exactly I have to do to it... Could someone help? Thanks!

Hi

You need first to get FS Sound Studio

For Starters

Study a Sound.cfg this can be found in your aircraft sound folder, open it up with note pad, you will then see all of the parameters that make the aircraft produce the sounds!

in the viewpoints line it either says

viewpoint=1 or

viewpoint=2

1 is for the sound to be heard inside the cockpit and 2 to be heard outside, there are many other settings that are made within the cfg.

Read about the sounds in MS SDK

Regards Alan

Here is a great article explaining everything. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526952.aspx

Also, I recommend getting FS Sound Studio, its incredibly useful.

Apart from FS Sound Studio recommendation, is there any other ways to create sound? I am planning to create a mig 21 MF sound pack for freeware Ivan Jurcaga

Thanks
