GA airplanes bank to the left on the ground.

Featured Replies

Hi all, I downloaded the latest update, I'm trying to use xp10 at the moment but every time time I run it, I just can't fly. I've tried a few single GA airplanes and some has a problem as far

as I load the airplane I don't touch anything and the airplane just banks to the left and keep turning 360 and backing up slowly, I've checked the throttle and it was all the way idle, I've calibrated my setup and still having this issue.

Columbia 400 was one of them, also sometimes I get this kinda shaky view in the cockpit as if earthquake is happening when I load some airplanes. I'm trying to like Xp10 but for now I will stick with my FSX.

I have PFC yoke, and pedals, Goflight TQ6 and MCP Pro and some saitek panels as well.

1) Make sure that ( I don't recall the exact menu location... ) you use at least 3, better 4 flight models per frame.

2) Is a crosswind component present? On lighter aircraft the lack of proper drag in x-plane will make your airplane weathervane the moment you release the parking brakes... (one of my main grips with this sim..., and a long term argument trying to convince the dev about how wrong it is this way...)

Now, do you mean bank, or yaw? If you're on the ground you could "feel" bank only if you apply power ( again, the intense / irrealistic torque effects in X-Plane make the bank a lot more pronnounced than the yaw... ). But turning through a complete 360º is strange ???

Yes, do nothing. Yaw to the left and that's without any present wind, I tried to set weather to zero.

I'm a pilot very close of having my instrument rating, I have 100+ hrs in GA airplanes, Including C-172, Piper, SR-22... etc and the way xp10 behaves on the ground is way off with many things, way too sensitive with brakes, left yaw...sometimes unnecessary bank to the right and left in mid air without a lots of cross wind.

As of now so far the sim is useless for me, as main things are not simulated correctly. Still needs a lots of work.

That is why I will NOT buy X-Plane until this rediculous situation of uncontrolability is FIXED

As it is I cannot understand why anyone would buy it

I agree the reason, the reason I bought it so mainly for support, but if by the end of xp10 if it stills buggy as hell and major feather don't work as it suppose to, then that would be the first and last xp product for me.
