I am having issues on landing getting ILS on the PFD, I programme the approach runway star etc the nav/rad page shows auto tune, but I never get any guidance bars on the PFD so I can never use the app option or even try to manually fly a ILS approach. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Hello Blackabj, First of all you should read the PMDG Forum Rules pinned on the General Forum as your full name should be signed at the end of any post you make, secondly, if you have just purchased the PMDG 747x then that is a pity as PMDG are currently upgrading this aircraft for future release. Personally, I feel there is insufficient info in your post for me to be of any help, if you can expand your query with further detail someone might be able to assist you. I see you have just joined the Forum today and it might be a good idea to look into the 747 section and read the posts therein where there might be some advice available. Hope this helps. Is the FSX ILS frequency the same on the NAV RAD page? This frequency can be different as the FSX ILS does not change and the real life one can.

@richard welsh. Sorry I broke such a major rule, don't worry I will work the issue out myself, I thought forums were there to help people not criticise!!!

Most likely culprit is the FSX world's ILS frequency being different than the one in the 747's navdata.

Have you activated the flight director (FD) on the main panel in front of you? Which airport are you experiencing this issue?

Yes I have the fd on, I have this issue with most airports I am not sure if it is because I have the latest airac database for pmdg and fsx has different frequencies.

Double check the ILS frequency in the navdata with the FSX map. If it's different, you need to use the one from FSX.
