If all I own is the GNS530 RXP, and I want both of them in the plane, do I have to buy anything else? Or is their a edit I can make to get them to talk to each other.

There is a supplied install routine to install one RXP GNS530 - the other is still the Carenado 530_2 unit.

Since the Carenado unit displays the FSX flightplan and the RXP unit (with LinkGPS=On) exports

the RXP flightplan to FSX, they do "talk to each other", kind of..

So I can't have both 530s linked and also linked to the crapadyne? I have to have just one and the other? Or do you think a copy and paste of the VC panel cfg for that gauge would work click spots, flightplan and all?

William Sequeira

No, they (all three) do share the flightplan info..

But for a truly "professional" look and feel, you need to purchase the RXP Unlimited package

(in addition to the RXP 530) which will allow you to install dual RXP 530s..

Bert! How you doing? :)

How do you export the RXP flightplan so the course shows up on the non RXP unit and avidyne screen?

Am going to buy this bad boy tonight. Been a while since I was this excited about a plane model release.

Hi Charles,

If you are running RXP GNS V1.6., you set LinkGPS=On in the rxpgns.ini file for the airplane,

and that is it!

I salute you!

In the case of Carenado integrated RXP where is this RXPGNS.INI ? I look in my simobjects aircraft folder for B200 and C90 and there is no RXP ini file in there. It is for planes I have added RXP manually though.

Good to see a service pack, I am happier with the sound in the cockpit now. As for the other items addressed, I guess I haven't dug into the VC enough--I hadn't uncovered those issues. I've purchased from Carenado long enough to know what to expect--an imperfect product, but perfect enough in the areas I enjoy to keep me buying. I'm not sure if I'll be buying another Carenado product soon. They've covered just about all the genre's I enjoy.

I would love to see a piston Malibu released some day. I just had my first up close and personal experience with a piston Malibu a couple of weeks ago, during the CopperState airshow when one flew in to Casa Grande, AZ. I never realized how large an aircraft it was until I saw it close up. Back to this thread....

The only issue I have is with the WX Radar. It works for some, but it doesn't work for most. It would be nice to have it working.
