What happens when...

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I was just wondering what would happen if two people were playing multiplayer, but one person didn't have the aircraft that the other person was using (e.g. my friend doesn't have the NGX, so what would he see if I flew it on multiplayer?).

Also, what would happen in the same scenario, but if we were sharing the aircraft?

I want to know because I'm planning on doing a flight in the NGX with my friend where I'm flying and he's a passenger. ^_^ I just want to make sure it's actually possible.

Even if you both had 737NGX I don't think sharing is possible with it, doesn't seem to work with that many complicated addon aircraft.

'Shared cockpit' only works with the default aircraft.

Not quite accurate, that. Shared cockpit only works with aircraft that've been deliberately designed to do so...

Since you originally said you wanted your friend to join as just a passenger, as long as you both have the same plane installed, you should be fine in most planes. There are a few that wont even allow that, like Captain Sim, but most will work as long as he doesn't start puching button, switches etc :-)

It's just a matter of experimenting with different planes, if they are addons, default planes work just fine
