November 17, 201213 yr I've basically ditched FSX altogether and am running P3d. I have one 24-inch LCD but have been thinking about a 3 panel setup (not only for P3d, but work as well). Any recommendations on a nice LCD monitor that would work for a 2 or 3 panel setup? I assume something with thin bezel edges would be key. Thanks-

I'm going to 4 monitors set up in 6DOF as aircraft windows, another for instruments, and one for charts/FSINN/whatever on the side, but I've used three monitors now for several years and love it. I understand P3D allows for the 6DOF already (nice). Here's the link to the photo of my setup (the displays are zoomed out too far on purpose). http://www.facebook.com/groups/354598604620561/ Dave Hodges System Specs: I9-13900KF, NVIDIA 4070TI, Quest 3, Multiple Displays, Lots of TERRIFIC friends, 3 cats, and a wonderfully stubborn wife.
November 18, 201213 yr Whatever you decide, just make sure you buy identical monitors. I honestly just went for size/price. 3 x24 in ACERS.
November 18, 201213 yr Commercial Member That can be an issue with simmers if you just look at size/price. That can bite ya down the road. Rather than suggest a particular model I would concentrate on what features you want and what features you need. Going from one display to three encounters some additional questions that need to be answered. If you plan to just add two more 24" monitors because you already have one... odds are if you have had that one for awhile it will not match the two news ones. They could look very different in their color pallet, PPI, refresh rate, etc. So I would suggest buy three new displays if you cannot find the exact model of the one you have. Button placement. If they are on the sides will you be able to reach them if you are in a three-across setup? If they are on the bottom will your flightsim hardware get in the way? Other things to consider is bezel thickness, glossy or diffused displays (non-glare coating), How many connections and what type? And where are they located - sides, bottom? My Asus's 27"'s have four different type of connections, DVI, HDMI, DP and VGA. Is it to go through the menus which seem to be notoriously cryptic. I am very happy with my 27's as they have lots of options... I can store and save several color setups which are great for gaming, movies, night flying, etc. I also have Picture-n-picture built in which was a nice bonus. So I guess what I am saying is do the homework as I am sure you plan to use this setup for several years. It will also will save you headaches down the road.
