Well ... of course I did cherry-pick to select the screenshots I posted and it does not always look great. Please also keep in mind that ground textures of the scenery used are not default but made of aerial images (Google maps). Clouds are default but actually I think clouds more often than not don't look very realistic in X-Plane. But nevertheless X-Plane has its moments.

 

Scenery looks great - where is it?

 

I don't know the exact location but It's somewhere in the western part of Switzerland - somewhere west of Thun I guess - but I don't know exactly how far west.
