I was just wondering if air display for the iPad is worth the money it costs on iTunes?

I have seen on YouTube about being able to undock the fmc and dragging it onto your iPad! One big question does it effect the frames?

So should I buy or is it not worth it

Yes it effects frames for most people because you're unlocking a new window. It depends on your system whether you notice it or not though.

 

Personally, I bought air display for this reason, used it on one flight and that was it. Never touched it again. I know a lot of people love it but I found just found it annoying. It's easier for me to just pan down at the FMC and use it.

I bought it 2 weeks ago. The iPad Retina and did installed Air Display. Because of the resolution (I think) it did not work properly.

Brought it all back.

Now I bought the ELO 1519L Touch screen and it works fantastic!

Exactly the same happened to me. I asked for refund but no response :(

I intend to use air display on my networked machine for add-ons like EFB/REX rather than my main PC, thus it will not affect frame rates of FSX in the slightest.

Remember guys, air display will only work in windowed mode and not fullscreen :wink:

I wish they could extend the SDK in that matter, so you could use every network you want.
