December 1, 201213 yr I recently purchased the Abacus Fly The Airbus A380 version 2. I loaded it in FSX. I can not see either the primary flight displays or the auto pilot. I tried selecting and deselecting the the 2d panel and cockpit with out any luck. I also sent an email to Abacus support. I did not receive a response from them. Can someone offer a solution to this problem? Thank you in advance.
December 2, 201213 yr Better to srop all abacus products, so you can spend time flying rather than fixing. There are some developers whose products will leave you fixing not flying, Abacus is top of that list.
December 2, 201213 yr Ouch - I have seen videos and there is so many things wrong with it. Abacus does not have a very good reputation I am afraid. Did you buy it from Abacus direct, or from Amazon? I see they are selling it for cheap - http://www.amazon.com/Fly-The-Airbus-A380-V2-Pc/dp/B000LUBDI2 Brent Lewis
December 2, 201213 yr Im 32 i got into siming over 10 years ago and Abacus was the same back in the days . so far i dont have any kids of my own yet but i can picture my future kids some years from now seating in their computer talking about Abacus Fly the airbus A380 version 97 having some problems .... Image removed as image is no longer available.
December 2, 201213 yr The solution is to stay away from developers like Abacus who charge for products that makes even the worst freeware addons shine! Read the reviews, check out the screenshots and ask in the forums before buying any addon. That will save you a lot of grief and money! Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
December 2, 201213 yr I will not argue the state of some abacus planes...but.. I can't in all honesty say to Stay Away from Abacus products as a whole... I like some of their products... and to be fair.. the price was fair for the products I have purchased ( many of them were purchased on sale ) CoPilot Pro.. I like that I can print out Airport diagrams .. easily... Is just one of 3 or 4 abacus products that I consider OK.. Their planes are in my opinion geared for the casual simmer who just wants to fly something different that is in the same complexity category as the defaul FSX air craft.
December 2, 201213 yr Commercial Member Yeah some of their programs are good, but can't recommend any of their airplanes.
December 2, 201213 yr Bought their A380 a few years ago, with-in 24 hours it was uninstalled and put into my 'money NOT well spent pile'. It has to be the worst add-on I have ever purchased. It was my last time buying aircraft from Abacus! It also taught me a lesson... Always wait a few days/weeks after release so you can review add-ons before purchasing and see what the 'hardcore flight sim analysts' think. When you know who you can trust, you tend to stick with them and for the majority of the time and buy 'only' their products.

If your missing any of those gauge files you will run into problems. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
