December 2, 201213 yr Those screenshots look really great! #8's my favorite, it looks so realistic. Flo Beat me to it. ^_^ If you wanted a shot to show why despite having uninstalled FS98 right after installing it (in disgust) I'm now back spending loads on FSX this is it. Heavies and long haul are NOT my thing at all but the airport detail available nowadays is excellent. Even my preferred Low N Slow GA/Bush fields have stunning detail and if (unlikely) I ever want to hit the heavies this shows just what's available. Geoff Geoff Brown
December 2, 201213 yr Here's a tip, use TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 to see more detail on that livery, It won't tax you on framerates. Nice shots btw!
December 2, 201213 yr Author Thanks again for too many nice comments. Never had much reaction to screenshots before! Here's a tip, use TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 to see more detail on that livery, It won't tax you on framerates. Nice shots btw! Ioan, are you sure that doesn't hit your FPS? I got my TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD at 1024 still! Thanks for your lovely paint by the way, just awesome. :good:

Thanks for your lovely paint by the way, just awesome. :good: I've been flying with 4096 textures for ever, I guarantee you that your framerate will not budge. Some addons (notably scenery) with HD textures might take a few more milliseconds to pop up, much like what happens in the NGX when you stay in a view for a certain amount of time, but performance will stay the same. From the specs I see in your signature, there's even less reasons to worry. I'm glad you enjoy them btw!
December 2, 201213 yr Author Ok well i will give that a shot. A right pain though is whenever you change a setting in FSX it defaults back to 1024 anyway.
