NZQN approach procedures

Featured Replies

I'm interested in doing a few flights into NZQN and would like to know if there's a copy of the FMS navdata files available somewhere that would work with the latest AIRAC cycle? This would include the VOR/DME A, B, C and RNP approaches.

There used to be some available a while back but don't know if they're still around or if they would still work.

You will get Airac 1212 for NGX FMC at www.navigraph.com.

Yes I already have the latest AIRAC 1212 from there but they don't come with the procedures for NZQN. There used to be someone who would write them up manually and have the files available to download and add to the existing NavData folder for the NGX. I can no longer seem to be able to find those.

Ah, ok, PM me your e-mail and I'll do a search for you and send you the correct plates if I find them :)

You can download the procedures at the avsim library. Each time you update airac, you have to alter the airac airport file. Instructions in the download.

out of interest can anyone check if the RNP procedures for NZQN are present on NavDataPro. My subscription for Navigraph expires early next year and I'm tossing up which provider to go for.

Yes. Thanks heaps for that!

Didn't even think of checking there. They used to have something like that on the VATNZ site.

I am right there with ya. Aerosoft is supposed to distribute their data with the Airbus X Extended, current to the release date, so once I get that, I guess I can get back to you.

Word is, though, that NZQN RNPs are company specific, therefore LH Systems can not supply them to Aerosoft (or something to that effect) - so no luck there either. LIDO will officially only offer procedures for general public to Aerosoft.
