December 12, 201213 yr Anyone know why this happens and has a fix? after engine start the throttles show about 18%, N1 when I advance throttles to taxi and the aircraft starts to move bringing throttle back to idle, and applying parking brake has no immediate effect aircraft continues moving forward for approx, 50 metres, and then stops even through the throttle is fully retarded. When I turn onto the runway and apply throttles and TOGA no problem, N1% increase and V1, VR. V2. are reached with no problem if I have to abort anything above 60 knots, I will run out of runway at Heathrow before it stops. I have become a friend of the clearway at the end of 9L .even applying parking brake and Pressing F2, for reverse thrust, no effect. Then coming into land after disconnecting AT, even with full flap so I am no faster e.g. then 135knts during roll out and fully retarded throttles, pressing F2 the aircraft just does not slow down, keeps rolling down the runway. eventually stopping. more gremlins.. I,thought it was a calibration issues, so recalibrated using CH software no improvement. Have no looked at FSX settings. also have FSUPC, but do not know how to use this software. Can anyone help, it really spoils a fantastic simulation with one of the best flight sim models out there today. all post are my own thoughts, unless you agree and then they are ours. Kalibra. Clive.
December 12, 201213 yr sounds like you have some calibration issues with your throttles. I only calibrate my throttles through fsx for the NGX. not FSUIPC. Make sure that your throttles are properly calibrated through your ch software, then make sure you have them setup correctly in fsx. If you use multiple programs at the same time to calibrate your throttles you will get massive issues. Btw this is absolutely not a problem with the NGX. Guthrie

FSUIPC is used to program the reverser and this you can find in this forum or net. December 13, 201213 yr Commercial Member Try calibrating the yoke again, and when you go to move the throttle lever (when it asks you to do that), find a pencil, thin ice cream stick or something else about 1/4" thick, and carefully place it in the axis against the idle position for the throttle shaft. What this does is that with this in place, as you calibrate the throttle and bring it back to the idle position, the shaft hits your little stick or stop or whatever you have used, instead of going all the way back in the shaft range. This has an effect of widening the "null zone" in a hardware-related way, so after calibration is complete, the software thinks the idle position is 5-10% into the mechanical range of the throttle lever, instead of at 0%, and this helps eliminate any small "play" you might have in the throttle control due to potentiometer wear or other factors. December 13, 201213 yr There is an opposite problem which would appear to be yoke/control column related but is in fact buried deep within the sim. The problem raises its head if your table 1505 (Time to n2) in the airfile has been corrected to show the correct concave curve instead of MS's convex curve. The table controls time to idle from start and having the correct curve eliminates the engine surging thus giving a smooth spool-up to idle. This however has exposed the throttle problem: being that pushing the throttle to full will give you x seconds to full from the engine (which is correct). But pushing the throttle to say 96% n2 will increase the throttle time to max rpm to almost double. The way round that is to go for full throttle and then slowly retard back to 96%. Sorry to say, even if I press F1 on landing the engines do not shut down and I continue rolling down the runway, N1 shows about 40% even with throttles fully retared.. If any one has any idea willing, when I had my trusty sidewinder 2 I never had a problem but that stick as long gone... Thanks Kalibra. Clive.
December 13, 201213 yr I haven't read all the responses, but it sounds like 2 things are trying to control the levers - your CH for one and maybe some other source. Do you have any other sticks plugged in at the time, or anything else you use to control the levers other than the keyboard? If so, disable those as it sounds like they are competing with the CH.
