December 14, 201213 yr OK so there is a Carenado sale which is offering very good discounts. Here is a list of aircraft that I was considering for purchase. Any inputs as to this selection? Are they good models to fly in FSX? FPS? Want to buy four models. Cessna CT210M Piper Saratoga PA32R Beech Bonanza F33A Cessna C337H Cessna 152 Piper Seneca PA34 200T Thanks Shez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"
December 14, 201213 yr I only have the C208B Grand Caravan- which is great quality, hardly any impact on FPS and it's great fun for doing bush flying and mini cargo charter flights. Will Torrens
December 14, 201213 yr The F33 Bonanza is my favorite FSX airplane - the C337 and C210 are also really nice. The 152 is fun and basic, and the Seneca is one of the few Piper aircraft that I fly.. So, I'd say: "pretty good list." Make sure you visit the Carenado support forum after purchase and decide on which mods you would like.. The F33 has an autopilot mod that is worthwhile, and most Carenado aircraft can be equipped with Reality XP gauges.. Bert
December 14, 201213 yr You missed the C340 which is also on offer, and my favourite Carenado aircraft, if you like reasonably large piston twins. Aside from that the C208 and the 210 are both excellent too. The Seneca and Saratoga are old and feel like they're not in the same league as their more recent offerings IMHO.
December 14, 201213 yr Author OK so I have the C340 and the C208. Sounds like the Saratoga is dated. But Bert likes the Seneca even if old. Is the 152 also one of the old ones? December 14, 201213 yr Personally, I love the Seneca II and the Cessna T210. And while it isn't on your list, the #1 favorite Carenado plane among our pilots at EVA is the Cessna 185F. Lose not thine airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.
December 14, 201213 yr I like the C206 although it is dated. I love the C337 though, amazing plane. Edward Smoker Sr.
December 15, 201213 yr Author Thanks everyone. So the final list for me is, Cessna CT210M Beech Bonanza F33A Cessna C337H Piper Seneca PA34 200T Shez Shez Ansari Windows 11; CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K; GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1080Ti 11GB; MB: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5; RAM: 16GB; HD: Samsung 960 Pro 512GB SSD, Samsung 850 Pro 256GB SSD; Display: ASUS 4K 28", Asus UHD 26"
December 15, 201213 yr I mentioned in another thread that I have the C337 and love it. That is my favorite twin engine hands down. I picked up the C210 and made a few short hops with it last night. You will love that plane as well. Be sure to read in the forums here, down in the Carenado subforum, about how to apply the adjustment to the VC lighting, soften the brakes a bit, and adjust the flaps. Sounds annoying but you will enjoy the way it adjusts the plane and they are small, quick, and simple adjustments to make. Edward Smoker Sr.
