December 27, 201213 yr @ FlyBoyMikey; Can you confirm; are you able to set altitude using the knob in the VC, or are you having to do it on the 2D panel?
December 27, 201213 yr Meanwhile, here's one descending... Sorry i had to resize it as my screen is 2560x1440. Hen the outside model looks nice, the VC looks really low end.... Single color, no tone variation... The MCP should be lighter than other parts on the real plane... Big issue on texturing... Remind me the basic JustFlight models....
December 27, 201213 yr I'd say it's above what JF usually does but not on par with say Aerosoft's model for example. December 27, 201213 yr We have no idea on when the FSL will be with us, there has been some movement recently, I refuse to buy the Aerosoft one for many reasons. FSL is where it is at, but I would love a A319 and BA A318 to JFK from London A-318 and A-319 ? I've always wondered why folks want such a small airliner for FSX.
December 27, 201213 yr Me too, but it's the ones i like the most. And they're in order of preference as well: <more> 318 319 320 321 <less> CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11
December 27, 201213 yr Well, I like it big..the bigger the better. If I wanted a small airplane I would go with a Cessna. But, hey I understand it's what some folks like.
December 27, 201213 yr My fave A3XX model is the A319. I am hoping that Aerosoft will add it to the Extrended package at some point. The BBS external modelling of the A319 is pretty nice. I look forward to checking back in on it at v1.0 when a bit more work has been done on it.
December 27, 201213 yr Can you confirm; are you able to set altitude using the knob in the VC, or are you having to do it on the 2D panel? I use the altitude knob in the VC. The trick is to click on the lower-left side to decrease or the lower-right to increase the numbers. If you click with your left mouse button it changes in 100ft increments, if you click with the right button it will change in 1000ft increments. Have never seen it do 10000ft blocks before though. December 27, 201213 yr It is a disaster indeed as it stands and needs proper fixing because it cannot be trusted.. Anyway, this is way offtopic, this one is BBS's thread not Aerosoft's and i already reported these issues to them - They are investigating. Geez, I've read the whole post and thought that the new BBS was a disaster in your eyes. And then the last sentence clears it up. Should have been the first, Nuno!
December 28, 201213 yr Sorry :( The two BBS guys are actually doing a fine job. Even if their graphics aren't the best and it's coming out slow, it's a real nice simulation. December 28, 201213 yr Don't worry, I was just puzzled for a second. The positive reports about the plane(s) actually make me wanna grab it instantly. But I have an aversion against 0.x of some kind. Regardless of the dev. I think I may even grow a 1.0 aversion. Still, all reports are welcome and, on the BBS, even slightly lower optics wouldn't spoil it for me. Since you are already running both, the Aerosoft and the BBS, it's nice to know how they differ on e.g. the navigation or the hand flying.
December 28, 201213 yr Let's say that i trust BBS on navigation more than i trust Aerosoft's which tends to fly away from the route at its own will sometimes. BBS will also descend better and won't fail setting the TOD and updating it. Both have several issues drawing lines on ND. I have never flown an Airbus in real life but i prefer how the Aerosoft version flies, it seems to handle better and respond better to my inputs. There have been several pilots stating that the BBS feels closer to the real thing, so that one should be more accurate. Overall i think Aerosoft has a nicer product ONCE and only ONCE they fix all the issues that remain, mostly because of the environment (graphics, sound, feel, details, etc). If they fail to do it and how things are right now, BBS is more trustable and complete. This is my opinion for what its worth   CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11
December 28, 201213 yr The two BBS guys are actually doing a fine job. Even if their graphics aren't the best and it's coming out slow, it's a real nice simulation. I agree. At first I was very skeptical about the whole thing especially with all the problems that v0.54 had but have really been enjoying it so far. I think their external model looks great now, the VC still looks good and the night lighting had definitely improved. Hopefully they'll release a custom load manager in future updates, but even though manually loading the aircraft directly via FSX is a bit tedious it's still manageable. I don't have the Airbus X Extended but was very tempted to buy it. Is it still worth getting? Sounds like it has it's fair share of problems. Michael R
December 28, 201213 yr It's just bad thathe VC looks that bad.... The exterior is nice but the VC really looks like JustFlight Airbus Jetliner ! Aerosoft VC looks so nice with the latest Extended update (nice color variatons, sharp texures...)
December 29, 201213 yr I got this BBS airbus yesterday after all the talk. I haven't flown it that much yet, but I like what I am seeing here. I think it has real potential. Daniel Nilsson
