December 31, 201213 yr Anyone familiar with the 777 will know that the aft cargo door has been offered since day one in two different sizes. SQ for example has chosen the smaller one for its -200ER and -300/300ER. UA have the large one. Virgin australia have the small on on the -300ER. and the list goes on. Large AFT door is however the preferred option for most carriers. The FWD cargo door only comes with the large door, so thats a non issue. Just want to confirm you guys are making this a customer option! Leo Calzoni

January 1, 201313 yr This will definitely cause your 777 to be unflyable if they don't put it in! This cannot be
January 3, 201313 yr This will definitely cause your 777 to be unflyable if they don't put it in! Much like WXR then xD Jarrad Symes Perph, Western Australia
January 3, 201313 yr Maybe, maybe not. I could easily see this as being an option you choose in the FMC like the satellite / wifi antenna on the NGX. You can add that antenna to any aircraft regardless of livery, so why not? Thomas Danielsen - FAA Commercial Pilot, JAA ATPL
January 3, 201313 yr Commercial Member It's a little different than that. The SATCOMM antenna is the same size, regardless of it being on or off. That makes it easy to just paint in the kit in case someone wants it. Somehow having two door sizes, on the other hand... Kyle Rodgers

Somehow having two door sizes, on the other hand... Yeah that satcom is only being hidden... So I can imagine having to reload textures mid flight.
January 4, 201313 yr Oh yes, forgot it had to open as well. Thomas Danielsen - FAA Commercial Pilot, JAA ATPL
January 4, 201313 yr Wouldn't it have to be a separate model for it to work correctly? I don't see this as been something feasible.
January 4, 201313 yr In that case I would probably just model the size that is more common. Alex Jevdic KORD/KHOT/KPWKA<380 love at first flight
January 4, 201313 yr Not really necessary lol. Because you don't care about 100% realism at all, do you.. :LMAO: "If you can't solve and equation with calculus, you're not using enough calculus" - A wise friend

January 4, 201313 yr Commercial Member Eh...for what it's worth, the pilot isn't probably the least bit concerned about that cargo door's size. Heck, I'm sure some pilots don't even know there's a difference between their fleet's cargo doors versus another's. The rampie, sure, but the pilot? Hardly. It's of no consequence to him or her.
