January 1, 201313 yr I just got FTX England (my first ORBX product--I know I'm behind on the times), but with such a large area compared to any other scenery addon I have, I'm not sure where to begin. Are there any particular regions of England that are best to fly around? Or any aircraft that are well suited for it? Thanks, boeing247 -Bram Osterhout

You definately have not seen much of it then :wink: Rural parts, coastal parts, market towns, big cities (although they're not big enough in FTX ENG, especially Manchester, etc), power stations, rivers ........ oh then check out the Lake District in the North West (Take off from Walney Island and fly N.N.E (North North East). If you take off in the eastern midlands areas and fly within 10nm all you'll see is fields, but elsewhere there is TONS of variety! :smile:

June 12, 201312 yr Interesting short VFR (low altitude) flights for me: Biggin Hill / EGKB to Shoreham / EGKA (and recommend that you buy the ORBX Shoreham airport - very good); (2) Manchester Woodford / EGCD to Leeds Bradford / EGNM, with a stopoff at Huddersfield / EGND along the way. EGND has a very interesting approach over high ground into runway 07; back to Shoreham / EGKA, and fly to the West calling at Chichester Goodwood / EGHR and Isle of Wight / EGHN continuing all of the way to the Lands End / EGHC and the Isle of Scilly / EGHI; enjoying the scenery all along the way, including several more interesting airports on both the North and Southern coasts of Devon and Cornwall; Gloucestershire EGBJ to :Liverpool / EGGP and Blackpool / EGNH.
