AOTD for 1/2/13 - Gold Dredge

Featured Replies

Okay. Another gold dredge. I'm not sure, but this one might be a repeat? Guess we'll have to find it to see.

Enjoy.

Interesting. I just went into Flight to verify this cache and it said "Aerocache of the Day" not available. So there must be some kind of glitch. I'll check again later to see if it's cleared up.

Thank you.

Rick

The plot thickens. Flight now shows today's AOTD as "Waikii Pond" with 0 XP's. Gotta love this.

I'm going to try to fly this and see what happens.

Thank you.

Hm, i`m siting in this pond right now, there is now Aerocache...

How do you say in english? DAFAQ`?

I flew this mission to see what was going on, and the aerocache is truly there. I took me a good while to find it, however. There are a lot of ponds in the area and I checked out most of them before finding the right one. I still don't know how many EP's were awarded, but it doesn't matter. I got the cache and had a good flight where I got to practice flying a search box.

It looked like a good place to park the CC, so that's what I did.

If anyone knows wat the real XP's are, please post them in this thread.

Thank you.

Ah got it! Was another one.

Very hard to find without Aerocache Sensor!

Well I got two today! I got to do Honolii Cove again, must have been a refresher course. Got out of the game, restarted and found Waikii pond. It was a bit difficult to find, that's for sure. Certainly not a gold dredge, but fun!

Man! This is just nuts. three different aOTD's listed today, one of which I collected ( Waak'ii pond), and now AA Falls.

I sure don't know what's going on. Anywhoo, I think I'll see if I can collect AA Falls also.

Thanks ChaoticB. for posting this or else I would not have known about it.

Thank you.

OK. I collected the Aa Falls AOTD also. That makes 2 for today.

I wish I could change the title of this post. It should be AOTD for 1/2/13 - Gold Dredge, Waikii Pond - Aa Falls. With only two collectable.

I guess somebody forgot to feed the AOTD hamster and it went crazy posting AOTD's.

(Sorry, forgot about Steve collecting Honolii Cove. I never saw that one today.)

Thank you.

Great these AA Falls Aerocache.

this was real fun, required some "stunt" flying to find it.

This is just crazy. That must have been some office party at MGS! Hope Chloe doesn't have a hangover.

I missed the first two, but got Aa Falls, Who knows? There may be more today, the way things are going. Stay tuned.

I took the Stearman out for a spin today, here it is on the Waimea runway with the radial blowing out lots of smoke.

I had looked it up in Google first, so I knew it was in this canyon. Here, about to plunge in.

Aren't those canyons lovely?

Aerocache in sight, just as expected.

Might as well land at Honokaa, so I just followed the Cane Haul Road there.

Ok, that makes 3 for me today. WOW, flying through those canyons is really something else. landed at tiny Honokaa airstrip, once I found it that is. I just don't under stand people that say they are bored with FLIGHT after 5 minutes. Even after almost 200 hours, I see no end in sight.
