How are you doing your long haul flights?

"Long Haul" for me is three hours in the B60T :)

Although, at least to me - it seems better to use time acceleration to do a flight than go away and do something else whilst the AP does all the work, which seems a common way of doing things.

For long-haul flights, one could use the existence of relief crews in real life as an excuse to leave the aircraft flying itself for long periods in FSX. To me, flying in real time symbolizes one's dedication and willingness to "sacrifice" the true amount of time required for the flight. I personally am not patient enough to fly long-haul flights in real time, so I compromise and fly short-haul flights in real time instead.

Lets see, there was a book I read few years ago, forget the title. A very large british flying boat service all the way to southern Africa where the passengers got a good look at heards of wild animals because the craft flew so low. Probably a lot of visual flight involved in that. Anyways some company sold a DVD for those airliners in flight simulator. Maybe it was FS2000. Not sure what the type of navigation was used there?

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

If you minimize FSX it will keep using some CPU but frees the load on the graphics card, so you can actually play other games while in cruise if your system is beefy, I have 16gb Ram now.

I like to play world of tanks in my cruise if it's a long flight. It runs pretty well.

When switching back to FSX it takes a minute to reloa the textured but it's all good.

Other than that I sometimes do some study on a procedures etc or watch videos.

If its in the MD-11 it's so automated I can even leave the house and come back later.
