January 20, 201313 yr Saw this just now while checking the weather forecast-- http://www.weather.com/news/plane-hits-fuel-tank-wind-20130120 Wow. "No matter how eloquent you are or how solidly and firm you've built your case, you will never win in an argument with an idiot, for he is too stupid to recognize his own defeat." ~Anonymous.
January 20, 201313 yr One would imagine that it would be the fuel truck blowing into the aircraft, not the aircraft blowing into the fuel truck. . . . Here's another extreme scenario: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIQqt0t9_qE&list=FL5uDwFuKiT0oIw8N3ctLeSA&index=10
January 20, 201313 yr Wow, could have been bad if the bowser was ruptured... Luck escape there. Reminds me of an incident in Dublin back in 2005 where one of our A330-300's, St. Brigid, was blown under St. Caoimhe, another A330-200, in a winter storm: Look, they're giving each other a hug!!! Quite an expensive hug mind you... Here's another extreme scenario: Wow, that must have been some wind, thought the aircraft was probably stripped on the inside, making it much lighter... January 20, 201313 yr Look, they're giving each other a hug!!! Quite an expensive hug mind you... Ha ha. If it had been the A330-200 under the A330-300, I would have said that the baby bird hadn't been ready to leave its mother! That winter looks pretty gloomy and rainy to me!
January 20, 201313 yr That winter looks pretty gloomy and rainy to me! May as well be Summer for all that picture shows, welcome to 75+% of the weather in Ireland... Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
January 20, 201313 yr What about this though, and caught on video too!!! About 55 seconds in... Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
January 20, 201313 yr What about this though, and caught on video too!!! Wow—it's amazing what we can capture on video! No wonder the pilots of Delta Flight 191 were unable to recover. . . .

January 21, 201313 yr Impressive turnaround times! Wait. But the Airbus(esses) touching each other really looks funny. 'Oh man, how I'm gonna explain that to the boss?'. After that, I'm sure they've invented the tiedown for the big planes. Not? As the video intro says, when Mother Nature reaches out, it happens with force. Here's my source on the tiedown solution.
