January 22, 201313 yr This morning I was flying with ASE with no issues at all. Tonight I click on the ASE icon in order to start flying again and I get the following message, despite several attempts to open the program. 'A problem caused the program to stop working correctly' 'Debug Close Program' Could anyone throw any light as to the possible cause of this problem? Many thanks in anticipation. Michael
January 22, 201313 yr Sounds like the program was not properly installed. Did you right click the installer and select run as administrator? You can also right click the icon that starts up ASE and select Run as Administrator and see if that will allow the App to open. If that doesn't fix the problem then you should download and run AppCrashView - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/app_crash_view.html and see if there is an error report for this program. January 22, 201313 yr Hi Jim, Many thanks for your reply. I have been using ASE for about 5 weeks now with no issues at all and therefore it must have been installed OK. The program is installed to run as administrator but it still does not open. I shall try to download the software you suggested but the strange thing is that one minute it works fine the next nothing at all. Any further feedback would be welcome Michael Michael Broom
January 22, 201313 yr Commercial Member It sounds like the program came across a problem internally, maybe reading a config setting, since it used to work. Perhaps it failed to close for some reason and failed to make it's settings accordingly. Perhaps the settings/config files can be deleted to recreate them. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
January 22, 201313 yr Hi, Many thanks for your reply. Yes,I think you may be right in it failing to close for some reason. Could you please tell me,in simple terms, how I delete the settings/config files in order to recreate the. I apologise if the answer is obvious. Michael Michael Broom
January 22, 201313 yr Commercial Member I hope someone can come in and help, I've not got AS installed just now. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
January 23, 201313 yr I seem to be really stuck with this issue. Would really appreciate further help. Michael Michael Broom
January 23, 201313 yr Commercial Member Perhaps a reinstall will set things right? I suppose you may have tried that, but maybe fully remove / delete folders / install fresh may get it going again as it did when you first installed it. You could look in the AS folders in Explorer general details view, look at the dates for files that updated recently, as opposed to files dated at the install time.
