Megascenery Earth Question

Featured Replies

How does this work with Aerosoft Manhattan X and Imagine Solutions KLGA? I'm wondering specifically about the transition from around 3000', which would be where MSE scenery looks its best (from what I've heard) descending into Manhattan and KLGA, where the addon scenery would "pick up the slack." Has anyone used this combination, and what other combinations seem to work really well?

IMHO MSE V2 looks good down to 1000' but does get better as you gain altitude. I do not have Manhattan X or the KLGA installed but I do have FSDT KJFK and it fits in very nicely. You just need to make sure the ManhattanX and KLGA are above the MSE NY V2 scenery in the Scenery Library.

Best regards,

Jim

I have MSE New York and Manhattan X so I can assure you they work great together

Just layer Manhattan X on top of MSE NYC and you'll be fine

Let's not, lol.

I'll say this though on v2 of MSE. The only bad thing about it so far is that there is no night textures yet. I own v1 of New York and like it since it came with both day and night and looks really good. In a way I feel I was lucky to get all the sections of v1 I wanted before they pulled them for v2. I will probably resume getting some of the v2 stuff if and when the free updates come for the night textures. Until then I will have to remain in a holding pattern since I fly about 50/50 day/night. I can handle not having seasonal textures, although I would like winter textures for the Chicago, Seattle and New York areas I have purchased, I can live without them, but I can not do without night textures. Their old style night textures were one of the things I really liked about the v1 product and I hope they stick to their word when they said they would add them as a free update at some point.
