February 12, 201313 yr XPUIPC 32/64 Bit for X-Plane 10 is available http://www.tosi-onli...IPC/XPUIPC.html BUT !! I am getting CRASHES !
February 12, 201313 yr Nice! Thanks for the heads-up! It works great for me. Maybe you didn't do this: "Step 2) Remove the old xpuipc.xpl file and the XPUIPCOffsets.cfg file from the \Resources\plugins folder. Remove the old xpuipc.ini, xpuipc.log and XPUIPC.txt from the root X-Plane folder"
February 12, 201313 yr Maybe I'm overlooking something. I downloaded and installed Xpuipc but it seems very limited in what it does. I did use FSUIPC for many years so I know what it offers. From what I can see, xpuipc only supports networking? No other utilities such as key, button, and joystick configuration?
February 12, 201313 yr Thanks for the info Peppy, Downloaded and installed (first read the Readme.txt!!!) and took it for a spin with PlanG and XPX64, worked just fine. I did get a "Wrong IP address" error up loading of XPX but just hit the OK and it worked good. Just need to get the IP address fixed up in the .ini file. February 13, 201313 yr As far as joystick, weather/wind manipulation, no XPUIPC does not do any of that...it only enables data communication between XP and a FSUIPC-based addon, allowing you to use FS9/FSX software with XP. The other features are a bit more of a reach for what the author set out to do. Aaron
February 18, 201412 yr i had also a wrong IP adress , so where to find the correct one? Lets see if I can remember this correctly. Windows 7: From Start Menu: (in the search Programs and Files box) type "Cmd.exe" select and hit enter then type "ipconfig" hit enter, you should see the PV4 address.. that address should be placed into the XPUIPC.ini file. August 4, 201510 yr Does anyone know where to find the documentation for XPUIPC ? I'd like to know how to pass parameters to an application that uses it. Regards MB
September 19, 201510 yr Hi MB, I do not believe there ever was an official manual or doc for XPUIPC (at least I could never find one!) but after a lot of searching I did find this Japanese site. It may give you the info you need: http://www.minhang.cc/thread-7256318-1-1.html Cheers Roy
