FSX-MS GSX follow me quick question

Playing about with the demo. How do i get the follow me car to the runway?

You don't. One of the reasons I didn't buy GSX. The follow me car only leads you from the runway to the gates/parking.

I have read it is on the list to be included in a future update.

 

I personally don't use it, unless I am in very low visibility. Normally I use charts.

Ive been using GSX for a while and love it.

 

I can't see the issue with the follow me car?

 

Your airport map will show you terminal locations. Just exit the runway and the follow me car will meet you there and take you to the gate of your choice, simple?

A quick print out of your airport from Skyvector.com really adds to the realism and you never know maybe you will really start to enjoying having to plan more. But totally understand if not.

 

I know I converted to checking things more before flying. To be honest it is the only thing that keeps me interested but I am a bit OCD.

If that's the case it's coming with the next update along with de-icing trucks and other goodies I think.

 

GSX will be an evolving product well worth having.

+1 GSX Rocks. Even without follow me truck it still offers a new level of immersion.

GSX IMO is a must buy if you are into "tubeliners" and want the immersion.

 

I have see the request from FSDT to have the vehicle take you to the runway. I get people like to follow the truck and forget about it. However there is more immersion to reading the taxi signs OR if you have Avilasoft's EFB you can actually hava your taxi route plotted in a different color on the display (sorry if everyone knew that).

 

If you have aspirations for VATSIM when ground control is on, just try following the signs every other flight or so until you get the hang of it!

More immerse how do you figure that when you just follow the truck, thought it would be more just using the taxi way signs to get you to the active rwy and using the charts
