February 14, 201313 yr Thinking about getting FSPassengers for FS9, any thoughts from those who own it..I am running Windows7 64 bit
February 14, 201313 yr There are a couple of similar add-ons out there, it's a question of preference. I've been using it for 4+years than I found FSCaptain and never looked back again. Here is my review and explanation: http://nzff.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=19159
February 14, 201313 yr IMO, the software has become outdated. However, to be fair, I thought it was one of the most over-hyped FS ad-dons to begin win. Plus, the developer has abandon the software. Instead, I strongly recommend you consider fscapain, which I believe is a far superior product; It's also in active development. The only feature it lacks is a finical model. Then again, FSpassengers economy model is incredibly basic and offers very little challenge. http://www.fscaptain.net/ Matt King
February 14, 201313 yr How is XPax? Has anyone here purchased it? I've been using the FDSFX Panel but I'm starting to get annoyed by the lack of a proper sound set for it. For example, the flight attendants still instruct passengers to extinguish all smoking materials. Who does that anymore, lol.
February 14, 201313 yr Author Thank you all, your input is greatly appreciated, I will check out FS Captain
February 15, 201313 yr I didn't know FScaptain is compatible with FS9. Unlike FSpax, less people have discussed it in my opinion. FSpax is an old software but it is still widely used. FSpax for fsx is more complex than the fs9 one. They could have improved the fs9 version, unfortunately they didn't.
February 16, 201313 yr It works fine with both FS9 and FSX: "FSCaptain is an add-on to Microsoft Flight Simulator (FS2004 or FSX) that expands the program so you can experience the challenge of professional flying in the modern world of aviation. That's what we mean when we say "making flight simulators into aviation simulators"." You should avoid XPAX....its very basic and offers nothing more than a looping video of an airport terminal. I was surprised at how basic this program was given how competent the HIFI team is. Matt King
February 16, 201313 yr FSCaptain and FSP both have demo's try them out and see which one fits you best. As mentioned above, FSP is no longer being developed FSCaptain is still in active development. FSCaptain lacks the economic parts of FSP. I don't know anything about XPAX. Ian R Tyldesley
February 16, 201313 yr I'm quite glad FSC lacks an economic model. Pilots, unless they own an airline, do NOT manage what aircraft are owned or pay for them to be bought. I always got tired of "You're company does not own blah blah..." anyways FS2004 Forever

I always got tired of "You're company does not own blah blah..." anyways You could always have turned that off, but i agree; i thought i would miss the economy aspects but I don't miss them at all.
