March 6, 201313 yr Author It is possible to set the flight number using an FSUIPC offset in FSX. So if you're up for it, you could write a little popup program to set it without reloading the aircraft. That's what I've done. How would you do this? Can you please explain as simple as possible, as well as what to use to write it?? I wouldn't know where to even start. even if you could just provide me with a copy of what you're using..and explain what to do with it. March 6, 201313 yr Author The way I do it is...I have a desktop shortcut to the Airplanes folder in FSX, I then just go into the aircraft.cfg file with a text editor and change the flight number that way. No Have to reload No fix - just another annoyance with fsx. Well, which is it? Can you update without reloading, or can't you??? March 6, 201313 yr you can have 2 identical paint job aircrafts in your library, and when you want to do the return flight, just go up to AIRCRAFT / SELECT AIRCRAFT, get in the tail / flight number you want to be in and it will reload your aircraft and off you go. but to your original question, NO. There is no way, shape, form, or program to change your flight number "on the go" without reloading your aircraft in some fashion.

March 11, 201313 yr Have a read through the FSUIPC SDK, which is available on Pete Dowson's website. If you know any programming languages, it should be a pretty simple program for you to write. I know in mine it was only about 2 lines of code to change the flight number (plus a whole lot of other stuff to get everything set up for that). Streaming at twitch.tv/brynmwr
March 11, 201313 yr Commercial Member All you need do is save the flight, go back to the FSX aircraft selection page -> press "Details" and enter the information about the Flight Number and ATC name there, then load the saved flight and start the next flight. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com

May 7, 201313 yr Looks like you're out of luck. You just might have to put up with saving then reloading your flight. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk 2 Jason Carruthers
May 7, 201313 yr .......................................... and press the Return Flight icon on the airport page. What Return Flight Icon? Where? Cheers,
May 7, 201313 yr Commercial Member ...the full quote was "in IF you just change the flight number on the plane items page, and press the Return Flight icon on the airport page." - that's Ideal Flight, there's a free version to try, you just type in your flight number and make a flight, when you get there change the number again and make a return flight, perhaps it's something like that you are looking for.
