WOW! those screenies are nice! A lot nicer than mine.

I haven't fired that bird up in a while and have been meaning to give it a go again. Have they made any progress with it updates-wise?

new HD TEXTURES were released after these pics were taken, it looks more amazing.  it's still full 32bit with an unstable 64bit plug-in that will be fixed when xp10 goes 10.30.

Just taking it for a test flight now. The new 1.2 looks real nice especially the new VC textures. I notice however that they still haven't fixed the problem with the FD lateral bar not appearing during flight which is a bit annoying, it kind of makes it impossible to follow the FMGC-computed path while hand-flying.

aerosoft is making the airbus extended for xplane.

I have airbus X (not extended) in FSX and love the visual quality throughout, can I expect the same in X-Plane 10 with the Extended version and does is cover better camera angles too?

Right now we have no plans to move this to the X-Plane platform.

yup here you go. last sentence on that paragraph

Sounds like they won't get around to that for a while. They still have a lot of on that list to get done for FSX including an A330.

Also, even if they do come out with an X-Plane version they'll have some serious competition. I've just completed a flight with the JARDesign v1.3 beta including the new enhanced VC and as it stands, this A320 is better than the Aerosoft and BBS one for FSX.

agreed!  :good:   the JarDesign 320neo ver: 1.3 is better than that other sim's Airbuses

Really? I can only get the 1.2 version working and only in 32-bit.

The 1.3 beta loads but all the screens are messed up.

You have to follow the instructions they provide in the text file very carefully otherwise it won't work as you're basically using the majority of files from the 1.2 package.

1. Create a new folder called 'a320neo_v.1.3_b010513' inside the X-Plane\Aircraft folder.

2. Copy all files from the 1.2 folder to the new 1.3 one you created.

3. Delete the 'cockpit' folder you just copied from the 1.3 folder.

4. Delete 'custom avionics' from 1.3

5. Delete 'objects' from 1.3

6. Copy 'cockpit', 'custom avionics', 'objects' and the 'a320neo.acf' file into the 1.3 folder. Overwrite the existing 'a320neo.acf' that you copied from 1.2 when it asks.

For best effect also copy the files from the latest VC textures update package and overwrite the other ones in 'cockpit' and 'objects' folders. Now you'll have a VERY nice A320 to play with

After a couple of flights last night I found that they fixed the horizontal FD bar on the PFD and it no longer disappears in flight. The managed descent mode (DES) now works properly and initiates when you click slightly to the right of the altitude knob. These were my 2 main gripes with v1.2.

Now all they need to implement is some more advanced features into the FMGC such as SEC FLT PLN and ALT routes etc.

Michael R

Thanks for your post Mikey, I figured it out in the end, in fact I was trying to install the beta over the 1.1 so no surprises it messed up! Thought I'd already installed 1.2 but apparently not. let's call that a "senior" moment... Worked better after I downloaded and installed 1.2. ;)
