I now find this to be one of the best aircraft in X-Plane alongside the 777. It's planes like these that keep me coming back to X-Plane.

 

Now just need some more scenery to be available as I like to fly into some fairly obscure places from time to time, then my FSX days may well and truly come to an end.

I have all of those Aerosoft ones that do all the major European airports as well as YPAD and YSSY. I do need to get KJFK, that would be nice, I only have KLGA which I got with my 777.

 

I don't have any of those Finnish ones that you have though, they look interesting as well as the OSM data. Do you know if there's a scenery available for EFHK (Helsinki-Vantaa)? I just flew through there last week and would be nice to have it as well. Would also like to see Polish airports which seem difficult to find.

 

Is the Toronto one for Pearson Airport? Or the other one? I found a nice scenery on the Org site for Pearson but it seems to be broken.

 

I notice you have some NZ scenery, is that the photoreal stuff I've read about a while back?

Yes New Zealand Freeware which looks like payware....amazing stuff.

 

 

Chris K is making CYYZ FREE, hes the freeware dev god that made YSSY, YPAD and the Toronto Scenery

 

 

Also, even if they do come out with an X-Plane version they'll have some serious competition. I've just completed a flight with the JARDesign v1.3 beta including the new enhanced VC and as it stands, this A320 is better than the Aerosoft and BBS one for FSX.

 

Except, since the model is of the NEO, the VC is probably not prototypical. The NEO will most certainly use the newer ISFD for it's standby instruments, not the standard standby gauges, modeled here. This would be ok for the standard A320's though!!!

I wonder then why they actually called this project the NEO. Apparently like you say, the NEO will have an altered cockpit, this one doesn't seem any different to me than all the other standard A320's currently around apart from the fact that it has sharklets.

Mainly the new engines (NEO = "New Engine Option") that are going to be used on them, which are suppose to be much more efficient then the current ones. Same as the 737-MAX. Airbus is also producing some with the existing engines, but with the sharklets. Deliveries of those models has just started. LAN and TAM are the first ones with them. Wizz air also has begun deliveries

Hi all, I'm testing the waters with x-plane. 

 

I am trying to build a touch flatscreen airbus A320 cockpit. I don't really care much about a virtual cockpit, but I do for 2D panels which can overlay onto different LCDs, and the logic/system of the aircraft. 

 

Would you still recommend the A320Neo, Peters Airbus, or the QPAC A320 (which I heard has undockable 2d panels?)
