March 4, 201313 yr The free photoscenery that is? I've tried torrent links provided in the guide from the library and I've managed to get Catalan ok but everything apart from one area for Aragon errors when I unzip the rar file. I can't find any other torrents or download links - any ideas? The bit that I've got is very very good so I'd like to get the rest.
March 4, 201313 yr Where is this available from? Link please I'd like Spain to. Thks. http://fs2crew.com/banners/Banner_FS2Crew_MJC_Supporter.png Wayne HART

March 5, 201313 yr I"ve only gotten the mesh so far (priorities!). When I go to grab the photo I will sign up for one month's access at the hosting site to make downloading easier.
March 6, 201313 yr Author I"ve only gotten the mesh so far (priorities!). When I go to grab the photo I will sign up for one month's access at the hosting site to make downloading easier. Before doing that (and paying!), I've realised what the problem is (RTFM!). Some of the rar files are very big, and spread across multiple files - in my case south Aragon was spread across 7 files, named xxxxx.part1.rar, xxxxx.part2.rar etc etc. I'd uncompressed part1 before I'd fully downloaded the rest and so when I tried to uncompress part2 onwards on their own it didn't work. So anything spanned over multiple files you have to wait until all of them have downloaded and then uncompress part1 and that will automatically uncompress all of the others (they have to be in the same folder as part1). South Aragon works a treat now, and they come down pretty quickly if you have a decent internet connection.
March 16, 201313 yr Commercial Member Just an FYI - I d/l The Madrid section and it looks real good. No way will I go through the jumping hoops to download through their provider... it would take forever, but if I pay the $9.99 for one month of service I can d/l the entire country and that to me is a bargain. Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!) Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11), EVGA 1300W PSUNetgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displaysFull array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.
March 16, 201313 yr Where can you pay to download is it just a matter of adding all the files to one folder Marked Spain and adding to FSX library same as Blue Sky Scenery? I got it once before but was so confused as to which region goes in what folder. http://fs2crew.com/banners/Banner_FS2Crew_MJC_Supporter.png Wayne HART
March 16, 201313 yr The release document covers installation very well. I would strongly recommend reading it. From what I remember, the author of the document has downloads for the entire scenery layout and includes modified scenery layers to add to the scenery library. There are download links (in the document!) and once at that site you can purchase a "premium" account that will expedite downloading. Or you can try to download via a torrent client and hope that people are seeding... The NL2000 v4 scenery package was easily obtained due to good seeding of the torrents. I don't know how well Spain is doing.
March 16, 201313 yr Moderator I wouldn't bother. I got nearly all of it by buying a subscription to the file hosting site for one month, but later deleted it because it isn't very good quality and some areas are very poor. The Catalonia region is that poor that I actually prefer the default scenery. The best regions are for me the Andalucia, Granada and Southern Valencia areas. As an example, when flying from the South of France using the Southern France from FranceVFR scenery into Northern Spain the color difference is terrible. It goes from a nice green color to several weird shades of blurry cream.
March 19, 201313 yr Author Yeah but it's free and done in sections that someone has happened to compile together. You can't expect colour correction for such a huge region. Anyway, I now have the lot via torrents, and I also torrented NL2000 while I was about it. So no need for purchasing anything - just get BitTorrent or uTorrent and start downloading.
April 18, 201313 yr Hey Turbo, If you head over to the CIX VFR Club they have it all on a hard drive which they loan out for a small fee... It is a very good club to join as well if you like VFR and anything no bigger than a twin... Dave
