March 14, 201313 yr Check this one out guys, Posted on Aerotv Network a you tube channel i subscribed to, for 2000 dollars and Microsoft Flight this seems like a joke to me or is it?
March 15, 201313 yr In my shoes, If I had that money, I would build a setup with a lot more than that. 1.5k for a (almost) top of the line pc and 500 for controller/sim hardware/addons. witch ive already done now haha. -Sean L PPL + IFR, SEL HP/Complex.. LAS WN Ground Ops
March 15, 201313 yr Moderator That is using MS FSX, not "Flight..." It's pretty obvious from the aircraft selection... ^_^ Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
March 15, 201313 yr That is using MS FSX, not "Flight..." It's pretty obvious from the aircraft selection... ^_^ Actually, the latest edition was set to use P3D instead of FSX, but Redbird kept updating and changing the specs until they missed the Christmas holidays. The prices kept climbing and the rudder pedals and table are not included. Redbird is planning on revisiting the basic design sometime this year. It is not intended for 'serious' flight simulation. It is as stated, a simple straight of of the box flight simulator for the non-technical types. This would be for your grandfather or grandkids that would like to fly but has no idea what a video card or cfg file is. It is quite limited in choices as compared to the full blown FSX. All selections are menu driven and the processor is quite weak for graphics although is comes with a 27 inch flatscreen. For the more serious flight simulator enthusist, there is one built just for you. See it here. http://www.jetmax.ca/ Regards, Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
March 15, 201313 yr Commercial Member Jetmax is only good if you want a 737... if you want something smaller (aircraft-wise), it's hardware is a total mis-match. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll make a business jet version. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
March 16, 201313 yr That would be great but it wouldn't help me. That thing is so expensive I might as well buy a real one. I guess the Jet A would be cheaper for the simulated version. ///// I heard a rumor that the new JAY is planned to be unveiled at the next big aviation event and it is a huge improvement over the never released pre-Christmas version last year.
