Simquads Throttle quadrant

Featured Replies

Never heard of them, but realy nice stuff.

Still a lot of money, but quite a bit cheaper than other manufactorers with similar hardware!

Too bad though, no B777 quadrant as usual :-(

turns out they may be out of business. Have tracked down some buyers who haven't received any response after a year of trying, oh well back to the drawing board and looks like there is only one manufacturer with a reputation under 2 grand and thats jetmax

but no 777 ;-(

I have a jetmax and I'm pretty happy with it. Yes its pricey, but its an investment and you'll be keeping it for years.

One part at a time.

Next is the MCP.

OA I agree , lets say your still simming in 10m years it works out at around $140 a year, not bad at all really.

I would like to get a motorized throttle, maybe second hand but they are very pricy

ZORAN

Motorize throttles come with their own set of problems; I've read people have a lot of issues with the software interface.

Anyone comment on motorised throttles I was looking at one? Like an opinion as omni said problems with them? Nice to be sure.

Sure, if you can afford 2478 euro excluding shipping :)

I'm budgeting 5-10k for the simulator over the course of 5 years;

2k a year is completely doable.

Have the throttle, next will be the MCP, then a 1080p projector (the BenQ W1080ST looks great for the price!), the 737-yoke, then the MIP (2/3, going for the single seat trainer), then the CDU (ipad compatible CDU will have to do until then), then the rudder pedals, and last will be a nice 737 captain seat.

The most expensive still being the MIP -- Jetmax alone is 3500 CAD.

Build in stages, thats the only way :)

I went with the throttletek who make a beautiful 767 and were willing to work with me to customize a 737 V2 for what I wanted...  My controls are Boeing brown so I wanted it painted to match, I wanted custom backlighting and I wanted a 737 throttle even though I will be flying the 777 almost exclusively because of the flexibility.  For example if I got the 767 it only has 6 flap detents despite some aircraft having 9 detents.  So by going with a 737 customized in brown with backlighting I can fly the AC with 6 detents as well as those with 9 detents.  WOW that was a babble.

Have a Wonderful Day

I ended up getting this very affordable throttle customized from fsthrottles . Its very loosley based on the 737 (flaps) but will be used as a generic for all my payware jets

Hi Josh

On the website it shows the basic throttle at the basic price being $220

Ricardo can then modify it pretty much the way you want it.

I added park brake, flap lever, spoilers for an all up price of $330
