I hope P3D don't screw up and continue to evolve MS FS -- still no news of version 2.0. I'll be investing $125 with Orbx Globe  along with the OpenLC they will be releasing, so I hope globe will fit all my scenery needs for at least the next 2-5 years.

No. Normal FTX regions do everything that UTX does and more, but FTX Global is an exception. It's mainly textures only.

 

I thought I read somewhere that they will eventually be including land class, as an upgrade.
