April 6, 201313 yr I'm really loving FS2Crew, I have only done 2 flights and I am almost up to speed on the PMDG NGX. However there are one or two things that the Co-pilot doesn't seem to understand. I am at 4000 feet and I have been cleared to FL130, ok I say to the CO-pilot, Me "Set altitude thirteen thousand feet. Co-pilot 'Double Check that please" He seems to understanf 'three thousand feet' 'four thousand feet' and so on? Thanks Julian J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s
April 6, 201313 yr Julian your probably better posting in the NGX fs2c forum but I find that its better to call FL at 10,ooo ft and above to avoid any confusion but I rarely get that error these days ZORAN
April 6, 201313 yr Author You mean it is to do with being above transition? Ok Thanks I will try and get admin to move it. J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s
April 6, 201313 yr Commercial Member Julian, You're using the incorrect phraseology. Try this: "Set Flight Level One Three Zero". or "Set Altitude One Three Thousand". Exactly that like. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
April 6, 201313 yr Author Ahhhhhh ok Thank you I will have another go tonight. J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s
April 7, 201313 yr Author Brilliant thank you. I am exhausted, because I have been screaming at my PC for the past hour and a half. I have been trying out the comm1 swaps on the ground, just to get the hang of it. I think it is a US thing to say 'Point' but in the UK it is 'decimal' which is hard to get used to. April 8, 201313 yr I can now fly take off and land without ever touching anything in the cockpit except for the Toga button and I dont think there is a command for reverse thrust, all on voice command.. ZORAN
April 8, 201313 yr I think it is a US thing to say 'Point' but in the UK it is 'decimal' which is hard to get used to. RADIOS: - SWAP COMM 1 - SWAP COMM 2 - SWAP NAV 1 - SWAP NAV 2 - SET COURSE ON MY SIDE XXX - SET COURSE ON YOUR SIDE XXX - SET XXX POINT XX ON NAV 1 - SET XXX POINT XX ON NAV 2 - SET XXX POINT XX ON COMM 1 - SET XXX POINT XX ON COMM 2 NOTES: 1. You can use "DECIMAL" in place of "POINT". 2. You can also set the STANDBY radios by speaking "STANDBY" in front of COMM or NAV. Example: - SET XXX POINT XX ON STANDBY NAV 1 Regards Luke M
April 8, 201313 yr Author Ok Thanks, I'm getting the hang of it now. A few more fllights will do it. The air hostest is a bit like ground hog day "Can I take your coat please....sorry" "Can I take your coat please....sorry" "Can I take your coat please....sorry" I may have to hack that one with "crying baby" J u l ia n D i a m a n d i s
