Saitek Pro Flight Yoke stop responding after 10min - 20min

Featured Replies

Hi everyone.
I bought me a brand new yoke from Saitek and I was really excited.. After I finshed instaling the drivers and set up all the axis on Fsuipc and noticed that the Yoke was not responding to any of my commands or is show any axis movement on the contol setting on windows.
So I did a bit of researched and found out that the Saitek uses alot of power. So I tryed what the Saitek support said what I must do, but my pc still disables the yoke. I then re-install the driver but it didnt fix it yet.
My plan is to buy a Y usb ( 2 male ends 1 female end ) which is mostly used for more power.
Do you think it will make it work?

P.S,
IT works for 15 to 20 min but then suddenly no responds to movemnet . I connect it to my laptop and it had no problem. Both pc running on win 7 64-bit.
Disconnected all Usb in pc and just left the yoke in pc, but still shutsdown.

Thank you very much.

Sounds like either a usb power issue. I hope you are using a powered hub or could you have " put usb devices to sleep" in your options.

Just check in "device manager" all USB ports. You have to check all, one by one. Left click to select one usb port, then right click and select "properties". Search for "Power Management" tab and there uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Some of USB ports don't have this option.

Check that you have latest drivers instaled too, from saitek website

I believe the recommendation you were responding to from Zeljko at that point is the first step you should take.  A number of others, including myself, have had and resolved the issue through power management settings.  I hope that is the solution for you.  Good luck.
