Best freeware P-51D?

Featured Replies

I'm looking for a good freeware P-51D hopefully with good sounds (not borrowed from a default cessna...) and not bothered too much about a VC if the 2d panel is good enough.

I have searched the internet for links but they are all 5 year old broken links!

Heya James,

A good starting point is going over to Simviation.com and entering p51 into the search field. There are a number of pretty good models, particularly the AF Scrub versions. I could tell you which one I like best, but after building my new hot-rod PC I only installed the A2A P51. I can tell you the freeware versions are easier to fly!!!  :)

Without a doubt the best out there is by Warwick Carter.

Freeware... absolutely Warwick Carter

... and if you can find them, photoreal repaints by yago9

I will also recommend Warwick Carter's P-51. That is the one I use and it is very good!
