FS2Crew for the Aerosoft Airbus X Extended is Coming Soon!

I have not flown it myself but have heard some bad things about VNAV. And I think the majestic Dash should of won lol.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion (even if it rather nasty to speak bad about a product you have not used and only based on hearsay and not reviews or customers feedback), but this a customers award and the big majority thought the Airbus was the best. The work of FS2Crew was very important for us, it is there work that helps to make the Bus to what it is now.

As you feel it is acceptable to call the product rubbish, I will take the liberty of calling your comment rubbish. You do not know what you are talking about. if you contact me I will gladly offer you a free copy so you can have an opinion based on facts.

As someone who buys nearly every aircraft available I can tell you that the airbus extended is well up there and is flying high with the big boys.

Mathijs,

that's the kind of offer that will make even more people call it 'rubbish' ...

Okay, then you will not get a free copy and you can keep on calling it rubbish without knowing what you are talking about.  If that makes sense to you, fine for me. Leaving this conversation now.

Um, Mathjis... Olli wasn't the one who originally called the AXE "rubbish." That was GodAtum. Olli was being ironic about your offer of a free copy to GodAtum - that's all.

Anyway, got my hands full right now with only one AXE...

Hoping to catch up with you soon - I bought my license during the sale but haven't downloaded yet, am waiting for a hardware fix to my rudder pedals, which if I'm lucky will get done at about the time 1.10 hits.  Looking forward to it.

The AXE has an autocoordination option, so rudder pedals are not a 'must'. Autocoordination is close to the RW thing in normal flight anyway ...

The AXE has an autocoordination option...

Might try that, though my problem is a little exotic and autocoordination might not work.  I use the rudder pedals on my Rainman Helisim, which, because it was designed primarily for helicopter flying, has no centering on any axis.  When you take your feet off the pedals, they deflect full left or full right.  That's not a problem for stick-and-rudder fixed-wing aircraft (my model was designed to be LSA-compatible and differs a little from the one pictured), but in anything that needs an autopilot, the full rudder deflection tends to defeat the autopilot settings.  If I'm not mistaken, that would be an issue with autocoordination as well (or does autocoordination cut off the rudder axis?  I haven't used it in so long I don't recall...)  The fix is that Mark at Rainman has designed a variable damper that when set will hold the rudder at center.  It should be here in just a couple of weeks.  I've got my hands (and feet) full with the DCS Huey in the meantime, so I can wait...

Probably more information than you wanted, but now you know...

Apologies to all for the momentary hijack... back, now, to our regular programming.

Hmmm, might jump in then after all...

Thanks, Alan - looks like Mathijs was really upset about that 'rubbish' discussion.

Anyway, got my hands full right now with only one AXE, flying that VOR DME ILS into LQSA ...

Ohhh, sorry.

Sometimes my fingers work harder than my brain cells.  I am highly protective of the work of the people who work with me on the projects (always keep in mind I do not do much) and have been known to lash out like this. It's stupid but hard to prevent.

No worries, Mathijs. But thanks for bothering!

My boss has the same to say about my brain cells ...

Naaah - now you're kidding ...

Looking forward to SP1!!!

(Including the "missing" managed descent - sorry, Mathijs - couldn't resist!!!)   :P
