If you read my post it says 300+ so I know how to control my plane. read more and you will see i asked for vectors.

Kyle your an arrogant ######  insinuating that Im dishonest. I haven't flow in 20 years and have had to re learn everything including Vor.

I'll give you that I can be arrogant, but I did not insinuate that you're dishonest.  I insinuated that you don't have the equivalent knowledge of a 300 hour pilot, so you had no need to add that information into this discussion.

 

Fact: You said you did not understand charts (post 4), and had just mastered VORs (post 7).

Fact: I stated that chart knowledge is IR student and PPL student knowledge, respectively (post 14).

Fact: You stated that you have 300+ hours (post 12).

Fact: I stated that this has no bearing on the argument, because of fact 2, above (post 14).

 

No apology is necessary, and none will be given.  Beyond that, apologies demanded are only bound to give you lip service anyway.

That would've been helpful information prior to my response, but nowhere prior to my initial response did you indicate that you asked for vectors.  It was only after my initial response that you alluded to that, which is why my initial response was so low level.

You asked in post 7 for tutorials about STARs.  I provided them, with some background information.

Don't be over VATSIM because of what was said. He barely even spoke about VATSIM. If you are instrument rated you should have a very easy time getting back into it on VATSIM since you just need a refresher.

 

If you are having to relearn everything might I suggest starting back with a Turboprop and working up once your more familiar. I'm assuming your not instrument since you weren't familiar with reading plates.

Don't be over VATSIM because of what was said. He barely even spoke about VATSIM. No Im not instrument rated. you can be a commercial pilot and a flight instructor and not be rated IFR. this of course doesnt mean you cant fly the 737 under a hood in any attitude or given vectors.

I didnt know there was a specific requirement for an instrument rating. I do however appreciate you pointing it out in a civil manner and i will take it on board

There is no requirement for an instrument rating on VATSIM, and there is no direct requirement to know SID/STARs for an instrument rating in the real world.  He was trying to say that relearning these concepts for use on VATSIM would be easy if you had previously learned them for your instrument rating.  'Need' was not used as "you are required to," rather he was using it to say "all it would take" is a refresher to become familiar with them again.

 

Nowhere in anyone's post did anyone insinuate that you couldn't fly a 737 under a hood in any attitude or given vectors.  I'm not sure why you pointed that out.

Kyle is a keyboard warrior with zero people skills. Went out of his way to be offensive when not pushed or prodded in any manner. I have seen his type out and about in company of men, usually quite like a mouse.
